Gabrielle Rose
Gabrielle Rose is strongly influenced by artists from the Golden Age of Illustration, especially Kay Nielsen and Arthur Rackham.
She favors traditional media such as india ink and watercolor.
Others have described her style as dream-like, as well as “unsettling and lovely.”
“I think that they (others) more than adequately summarize what I try to achieve in my drawings: combining storybook illustration style with occasionally sinister subject matter,” says Rose.
Rose was born and raised in Texas, but now calls San Francisco home.
