Angie Hoffmeister
Angie Hoffmeister is a twenty year old german girl who recently moved to Düsseldorf to study art in the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
She was born 1989 in a medieval town in east Germany but raised in the north after the fall of the wall. She always liked to draw typical children’s pictures that showed horses and trees, but no special talent. Soon drawing became her favourite thing to do and in the last years it has become something like a compulsion to her. She had some trouble getting into art school and began to doubt herself and her works, but everything worked out and now she tries to become an illustrator.
Angie likes drawing more than painting, though she practices to improve the way she uses oil paints and acrylics. She mostly takes watercolors and Copic Markers for her pictures and always carries around her beloved and treasured Moleskine sketchbook, which is inhabited by yellow ghosts with chic hats. She likes forests, old photographs that she collects, deers, ghosts and anything vintage, which often is mirrored in her pictures.
